20.2.13

A suivre.
Enjoying a peaceful half-term break.
Also we have found what could be a great home for us...it is only missing the central heating. To be continued.

Faux snow Möbius crocheted scarf pattern

At long last I get to post this pattern in English to keep warm in those last few weeks of cold weather.

Start with 39ch with hook 5. Turn

Repeat row 1 + row 2, 120 times (240 rows in all) untill strip is about 200cm long.
Fasten off leaving a tail of about 120cm for joining both ends.
Twist one end of the strip once then sl st (slip stitch) together to make up your infinity scarf.
Weave in ends.

I am full of cold again. Not much energy just enough to crochet this chunky neck warmer and triangles now and then for my blanket in progress. We are keeping warm.

The rather mild chicken pox virus is finally over. Also we are still happily house hunting which brings back the embarrassing memory of the last house we bought in the French countryside when we only realised after signing the preliminary sales agreement that there was no bathroom...

While crocheting a blanket I like to think of it as a family heirloom in the making even when using scraps of wool. For that same matter I happily leave any hair that would get tangled in the way to blend in to wool and posterity.
Have a great start of the week.
