A la main By hand
I am just starting a new hand sewn traditional English patchwork (or how to excel in the art of accumulating works in progress) it might take for ever but I am so exciting about the novelty especially since I glanced through the exquisite book Material Obsession by Kathy Doughty and Sarah Fielke with its gorgeous arrangements. |

Rainbows at the table
At Adèle's request here are two round quilted patchwork, table mats or wall hangings, of 36.5cm in diameter each made with scraps of fabrics, fabrics and batting 100% cotton. My box of scraps is still full though! As for the inspiration it came from the sky naturally!

Done! My first patchwork quilt is definitely a winter quilt even if a bit late for the challenge...I had great pleasure in making it especially when it came to the hand stiching finishing with tiny slip stiches. Both the floral prints are from Moda fabrics collection Fresh Air by chez Moi, the batting is in natural cotton from Warm and Natural and the plain back fabric is from Kaffe Fassett. (Dimensions are 95cm x 95cm).
