Enfin...ma couverture Elmer (on avait dit dernier délai Noël...) est terminée (2m x 1,40m, laine Sublime 100% mérinos avec parfois un mélange de soie et alpaga), pour ma fille Cerys qui s'inquiète de la venue imminente de sa petite soeur.
At last...my Elmer quilt (we did say the deadline was last Christmas...)is done (2m x 1.40 m, Sublime merino wool with a hint of silk and alpaca), for my dear daughter Cerys who is rather worried about the imminent arrival of her little sister.

Mon soldat Sparte ce matin en partance pour l'école. Aussi les photos ne sont pas de la meilleur qualité mais je ne savais pas trop comment nous retrouverions le costume en fin de journée...Casque et bouclier en papier mâché, sandales spartiates en simili cuir, carton et laine. Je ne sais pas si je renouvellerai la cordonnerie improvisée...même si ça me change de la layette.
My spartan soldier on the way to school this morning. The pictures are poor but I didn't know how I would find the costume after school tonight...Helmet and shield in papier mâché, sandals in imitation leather, wool and cardboard. I am not sure I will renew th experiment of improvised shoemaking...

L'occasion de sortir mon présentoir à gateau vintage trouvé dans le grenier poussiéreux de notre maison de campagne française. We are having a street party for the Royal Wedding on the 29th of April. It will be the occasion for me to show off my vintage cake-stand found in the dusty attic of our French country house.

J'aime aussi la layette blanche surtout depuis que j'habite en Angleterre où il est difficile de trouver autre chose que du bleu ou du rose. Cet adorable gilet a été tricoté par Joyce une fidèle à l'atelier. I love white layette too especially since I live in England where it is rather difficult to find anything other than pink or blue.This adorable cardigan was knitted by Joyce a faithful learner at the workshop.
